Protect Teachers Project

In the growing war on education, teachers are facing unprecedented challenges and attacks.

The Protect Teachers Project is inspired by the experience of Amy Donofrio, an award-winning Florida public school teacher.

Despite her leading her Robert E. Lee High School students to unprecedented success, including presenting at The White House, TEDx, Capitol Hill, and Harvard University, Donofrio found herself embroiled in the culture war attacks led by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Despite this incredible student success, she found herself abruptly thrust into national headlines, terminated and under state licensure attack after opposing racism towards her students.

Having experienced the devastation of career attacks first-hand, her dream is to help develop a mechanism that can empower other educators with the tools they need to support their students while protecting the career that they love.

The Protect Teachers Project has the goal of providing both short- and long-term support resources for teachers and the stakeholders who support them, so all teachers can be empowered to survive, thrive, and continue to teach truth.

Our Schools USA is proud to sponsor this Project and asks for your support for its growth.

“While I am heartbroken that the retaliation against me continues, I will not stop fighting for my rights so that other teachers do not have to endure the retaliation, harassment, and humiliation that I have as a result of co-creating a safe learning environment.”
